Let’s start a revolution. Go on, I dare you.

Answer this question. How true are you to yourself?

a) completely

b) a bit

c) not at all.

Jim Morrison said, ‘The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.”

So what would happen if you really chose you, created you and dropped that mask?

It could quite literally transform your life from something that feels like it has to endured and suffered, with fleeting moments of transient happiness, into an adventure. Yes, the adventure may have it’s highs and lows, but at least you would want to go where you are heading.

You might be reading this thinking. Yeah right, Pollyanna – Life is hard or life is a struggle – get real, that doesn’t apply to me. I have no choice.

Well if that’s your point of view then you are probably right.

Your point of view creates your reality.

But, what if you could change your point of view, and what if in doing so, you allowed more space for more possibilities and better things to show up? What would you choose then?

I remember reading somewhere that ‘Life is just. It always give you what you expect.’ It really stuck with me.

So what are you expecting?

Years ago I looked at some of the crap I created in my life and wondered where I was going wrong and how others seemed to be getting it right.

Maybe that resonates with some aspect of your life right now?

But what if you were just creating the best you could with what you knew at the time?

So be kind to yourself, because judgment is the possibility slayer.

What if you trusted yourself to know what is best for you?

What if you chose what you truly wanted, not what you thought you should choose according to someone else’s idea of you?

And what if that could be fun and easy?revolution

Really would you say no to that?!

Sound crazy?

Excellent. Cause logic and rationale will give you more of what you already have. Fine if you have the most fantabulous wonderful life, not so great if bits of it really aren’t working for you.

If your mind could solve what you believe to be wrong then it would have done so already by now.

‘It always seems impossible until it is done.’ Nelson Mandela

Over to you.

Get a pen and paper and write down the immediate responses from the questions below……

So what is your point of view about money? About work? About love? About sex? About people? About your body? About your family? About society? About wealth? About relationships?

Now look at your life, where do you see evidence of these points of view showing up?

Yip, your point of view really does create your reality.

Don’t like what you’re experiencing, then choose something different.

Get clear about what you would like your life to be because if you can’t imagine it, then you can’t create it because everything begins with thought.

As Henry Ford said, ‘Whether you think you can or you think that you can’t – you are probably right.’

If you’ve already begun your own personal revolution then please share it – you might just be the encouragement that someone else needs to hear!
