Get real and stop pretending!

I reckon that too many of us can’t truly see ourselves.

We focus on what we are not, instead of seeing the magic of who we are.

Jay Niblick writes in his book, What’s Your Genuis, ‘The first step of awakening your authentic self is the recognition that you are inauthentic in the first place.’

From a young age we are taught what this society ‘perceives’ as right and wrong and how we should live. Many of us accept these ‘rules’ without question our whole lives. Many of these ‘rules’ have us believe that there is something wrong with us, something that needs to be fixed.

But when we think we need fixing we are really saying that we’re broken, that we’re not good enough.

Nothing could be further from the truth. At our essence we are awesome, magical, wonderful beings, capable of more than we could ever imagine. It is just that somewhere along the way we many of us have forgotten that.  We cloak ourselves in layers and layers of stories and beliefs (unconscious conditioning from society) until we no longer recognise ourselves.

We try harder and harder to look for answers outside of ourselves, looking to others who call themselves experts. But here’s the thing. You are unique. There is no one on the planet that is more of an expert on you than you! It is just that many of us have forgotten how to trust ourselves.

What if there was an easier way?

What if it was about releasing the awesomeness that is inside you, not creating it?? Believe In Yourself

Each and every one of us has a unique recipe of talents, gifts and contributions to make.  But often these talents remain invisible to us because many of us are trying desperately hard to make ourselves what we are not in order to fit in.

That feels like hard work and no fun at all.

So ask yourself these questions and let the answers show up. You might be surprised.

What’s great about you that you’re not seeing?

What do you do in your working day that doesn’t feel like work at all?

What do other people tell you you’re great at?

What are you doing when you have the most fun?

What do you do that just feels so easy that you think everyone can do it?

The answers to these questions will point you in the direction of the magic of you. Your uniqueness and the gifts that you have to offer to the world.

So get real and stop pretending to be something you are not.

See who you are and create your world from that place one choice, one moment at a time. It’s much more fun! And anyone can do it, you just have to choose it.
