10 ways to create a more awesome life when you’re frustrated with life.

Your thoughts create your points of view, which create your reality.

It’s one thing to know that, quite another to live it.

So simple and yet, not so simple…..

Beautiful and inspiring when it works, infuriating when it doesn’t. Or maybe that’s just me!

Except, of courssmiley facese it’s always working.

But before you dive headlong into beating yourself up for creating the stuff you don’t like/want, remember that you’re not just creating at a conscious level.

We create subconsciously too. Where we have bought into stuff that is simply invisible to us.

I don’t know about you, but when I’m not a creator of awesomeness, I tend to be an awesome creator of cr*p.

We all are. The trick is to be able to create more of what we consciously want – with ease.

So when you’re frustrated with life here are some things to do to get the energy moving.

1. Complete this sentence.  My story about ________ is………………..

Fill in the blank with whatever aspect of your life it is you want to change.

Don’t overthink it. Just write whatever comes into your head.

You might surprise yourself.

Not sure what your story is? Then look at what it’s happening in your life in that area. It will give you massive clues to what the story is.

Knowing what your story is will help you change it.

2. Acknowledge what you have created.

You might not have created what you want, but when we resist what is, we push against it and this just creates more resistance…..

Which gives you what?

Yip, more of what you don’t want!

So acknowledge your great creation.

Imagine if you focused your energy in the direction of what you do want, not what you don’t want?

 3. Get clear.

What is it you truly desire to create? If you turned up on planet earth tomorrow and weren’t trying to fit in/please people, what would YOU choose to create?

4. Quit judging yourself.

You’re quite literally attacking yourself when you judge yourself.

Judging yourself for what you’ve created doesn’t help you at all. It’s more likely to keep you where you’re at.

Easy to say, again harder to live.

So if you need to howl at the moon. Do it.

But really do it. Don’t be half hearted about anything you do.

5. Stop telling the story.

I know, I know. You want to tell the story. We all do.

Just don’t. It doesn’t help.

Unless of course, misery makes you happy.

This can be challenging to do initially. Stories are currency in this world.

Just try it once and see what happens.

The urge to tell it may just pass.

6. Ask questions.

Your conclusion about what you have decided is, sticks you.

Questions get the energy moving.

What else is possible here?

What is going on here that I am not acknowledging?

What else could I choose here?

What am I not willing to do to change?

7. Talk to someone.

Not someone who is going to say poor you – you are, after all a great creator.

Talk to someone who will truly listen, who will ask you questions that will help you gain more awareness and clarity to create greater choice.

8. Get creating consciously and see it all as practice.

What if you are not creating enough?

Just for fun ask yourself what else would be fun to create?

We are far more powerful than we give ourselves credit for.

Lighten up. You can do this.

Practice. Practice. Practice.

See it as a game where the more you practice the more you master it.

As long as you’re breathing you get chance after chance to master this.

9. Choose again

The energy of the universe really does have a sense of humour it seems – as everything is not always as it appears…..

So start with where you are. Pick one or more of these things and actually do them.

Reading about stuff changes nothing. You need to choose. So choose to change.

10. Complete this sentence.  I am grateful that ________

When we get in a funk we totally focus on what we believe we’re lacking.  There’s always going to be something you think you don’t have.

Get over it.

Change your focus and get ridiculous  playing with this. It is amazing how much energy is can shift quickly.

Over to you

So what other things do you do when you get aware that you’re frustrated with life?
